Calliope (pronounced Kuh-Lie-Oh-Pea) is the Literary and Arts magazine of University of the Pacific. Named after the muse of heroic poetry in Greek mythology. It annually features art, poetry, prose and fiction submitted by students representing all academic disciplines. These are juried by an editorial staff of students majoring in art and literature. The resulting works become the content for the magazine designed by graphic design students and then produced by the Pacific Humanities Center. All is accomplished though the collaborative efforts of the English and Visual Art Departments.
The deadline for submitting literary work, artwork or both is March 1st.
There are no fees to submit works.
There is no limit to the number of submissions.
To submit artwork electronically, simply send a photograph accompanied by the submission form to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please include the words “Calliope Submission” in the subject line.
